Pusoy Dos (Big Two) is played with a standard 52-card deck among 2 to 4 players.
The objective is to be the first player to shed all your cards. Cards are played in combinations —
singles, pairs, triples, and five-card hands — and each play must beat the previous one.
Card ranking (lowest to highest):
- Numbers 3 through 10, followed by Jack, Queen, King, Ace, and the all-powerful 2.
- Suits rank from lowest to highest: Diamonds ♦, Clubs ♣, Hearts ♥, Spades ♠.
- The 2 of Spades is the highest single card in the entire deck.
Five-card combination ranking (lowest to highest): Straight → Flush → Full House → Four of a Kind → Straight Flush → Royal Flush.
codvip tip: In Pusoy Dos, managing your 2s is everything. Holding a 2 too long means losing a weapon; playing it too early leaves you exposed when another player goes out before you. The timing of the 2 is where games are won and lost.
Tongits is a three-player rummy card game popular throughout Luzon.
Each player starts with 12 cards (dealer gets 13). The goal is to form melds — sets of three
or more cards of the same rank, or sequences of three or more cards in the same suit —
and reduce your hand value to zero.
- Meld types: Three or four cards of the same rank (e.g., 7♠ 7♥ 7♦) or a sequence in the same suit (e.g., 5♣ 6♣ 7♣ 8♣).
- Tongits: Going out with zero cards in hand — an automatic win that earns a multiplied payout.
- Draw: If the deck runs out, the player with the lowest point total wins.
- Calling (Sagot): You can challenge a player who tries to end the game — highest card count loses the challenge.
codvip tip: Don't rush to declare Tongits if there are still high-value cards in your meld. Opponents can fight a Tongits declaration if they've hit zero with their own melds — patience often pays more than speed in Tongits.
Blackjack is a card game where you compete against the dealer, not other players.
The goal is to reach a hand total as close to 21 as possible without going over (busting),
while beating the dealer's hand.
- Card values: Number cards = face value. Face cards (J/Q/K) = 10. Ace = 1 or 11.
- Blackjack: An Ace plus any 10-value card on the initial deal — pays 3:2 at codvip live tables.
- Hit: Take another card. Stand: Keep your current hand.
- Double Down: Double your bet and take exactly one more card.
- Split: If dealt a pair, split into two separate hands with a second equal bet.
codvip tip: Basic strategy reduces the house edge in blackjack to under 0.5% — one of the lowest of any casino card game. Always stand on 17 or higher, always split Aces and 8s, and never take insurance. The math is on your side when you play correctly.
